∆NTI/CØRPI

The body as architecture. Repaired, reinforced, invaded, compromised.

∆NTI/CØRPI assembles figures from incompatible parts. Flesh and transparent panel. Tissue and brass hardware. Crystal and bandage. X-ray and skin. Tubing where tubing shouldn't be. The materials refuse each other and yet the body has always been made of things that refuse each other — bone and fluid, nerve and void, what grows and what breaks down.

An antibody is the immune system's response to a foreign presence. It identifies the invader. Marks it. The organism tries to remain itself against what enters it. In this work the distinction collapses: the body is both host and invader, organism and intervention. The apparatus is the body. The body is the apparatus. The question of where one ends stopped being answerable.

Each figure exists as a digital projection — a vision of possible physical installations, sculptures that occupy space in the image before they can occupy it in the world. The incompatibility of the materials is the point. Each figure is built incrementally, accumulating the way damage accumulates, until you can no longer identify what was original and what was added.
